Venus is the goddess of love, seduction and feminine beauty in Roman mythology and in the classical etymology of her name (Latin verb vincire, bind, chain) we find its origins: Venus unites the male fire to female water, which gives life.
So, like the goddess coming out of the waves of the sea, this pretty table comes out of the raw material, the marble quarry from which come all the most beautiful sculptures of antiquity, like the David of the great sculptor Michelangelo. It is a rather rare marble whose name STATUARIO, which well represents the association with the sculptures.
The block of marble has been chosen by the tone of white and the design of the veins which, together with a special “satin” finish of a surface, are very close to the candid skin of the goddess. The rounded and soft shapes of the table and its six spherical feet inspire in the image of the feminine and beautiful body of Venus.
